Knowing how many booked hours each tech is producing is how a body shop manages payroll and staffing. CCC's native report captures hours but can't tell you whether those hours were productive, profitable, or proportional to the tech's cost.
Why It Breaks
CCC reports booked hours against an RO but doesn't join to tech-level loaded cost, doesn't capture idle time accurately, and doesn't surface rework hours separately. So you see "Tech A: 175 hours" without the context that tells you whether that's good.
What MSOs Actually Need
- Booked, clocked, and efficiency hours per tech per week.
- Loaded-cost-per-hour for true margin per tech.
- Rework hours called out separately.
- Shop-by-shop ranking so top performers get visibility and outliers get coaching.
The Fix
Join CCC labor data to timecard data and payroll cost in the warehouse. Render a tech productivity dashboard per shop, with anomaly detection for efficiency dips. Typical build: 2 weeks once timecard data source is identified.
