Why It Breaks
CCC tracks the part number, supplier, and cost. It doesn't join to the actual paid cost, doesn't surface price drift, and doesn't flag back-orders cleanly. Parts performance is a warehouse analysis, not an OLTP report.
What MSOs Actually Need
- Parts margin per supplier, per shop, per month.
- Back-order rate and average delay per supplier.
- Price drift — when does a supplier quietly raise a recurring part.
- Alerts when margin drops below threshold.
The Fix
Join CCC orders to supplier invoice data, render margin and performance dashboards, set threshold alerts. Typical build: 2 weeks.
